Windows XP, for all its' faults has become a pretty good platform. Having said that, it was and is still painful to get networking right. Because of this many people, like myself, make a living supporting and troubleshooting networks large and small. Most people don't want an MCSE or CCNA, they just want to check their email, browse the Internet or download warez. :-)
